US Sales Executive – Work from Home

Job Description: Running Your Own Sales Cycle

You are in charge of and accountable for your own success, and you are eager to grow and learn more to become part of this sales team. This means you are responsible for identifying and contacting prospects, and creating and turning inquiries into qualified sales leads. You love calling and talking with customers to solve their problems and deliver value by selling Motio products.

Keys to Success

  • To be successful you know you have to go beyond emails, knowing direct interaction through phone or conference platforms is the way to interact with potential customers and build rapport.
  • You are focused on building a robust sales pipeline to ensure a constant stream of sales.
  • Work towards monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
  • You know sales activity is crucial, and have a system in place to keep up with your clients and opportunities.
  • Schedule meetings with potential customers and manage the sales cycle to close the deal.
  • Of course, you understand that leveraging the CRM system is key to your and the company’s success.
  • Follow up with existing customers to identify opportunities to cross-sell, that comes naturally to you.
  • You are on top of leads and eager to jump on leads generated by other departments.

Required Skills:

  • You know the sales best-practices and have proven that you know how to sell.

Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master Degree.
  • You have at least 2 to 5 years in the B2B market, preferably within a software vendor environment.
  • Experience with high-volume prospecting through email marketing and cold calling.
  • You are familiar with Business Intelligence & Analytics.
  • You have knowledge of financial processes, financial reporting, and dashboarding.

The role:

As a Product Manager at Motio, you are responsible for building products that enable our customers to obtain more value from their business analytics investments.

You must understand the needs of our customers, the analytics products they use, and the competition. You must then turn this understanding into a product vision that is communicated to both senior leadership and development teams. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for defining the product scope, detailing feature specifications, and working with the development team to produce high quality software.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define and own the product vision
  • Become an expert in our business domain
    • Become well-versed in Qlik, Tableau, Power BI and Planning Analytics
    • Research these markets
    • Understand how customers use these products and what challenges they face
    • Learn and conduct research about competing products
  • Understand our customer needs
    • Develop positive working relationship with Motio customers
    • Serve as the customer representative to the stakeholder meetings
    • Identify areas of opportunities
    • Understand how customers are using Motio products
  • Manage Product Backlog and prioritization for development team
    • Detail and prioritize features
    • Manage and prioritize defects
    • Schedule and conduct regular stakeholder meetings to review the backlog
  • Be the subject matter expert for the development team
    • Collaborate and communicate vision to the developers
    • Clarify requirements
    • Attend daily standups
  • Analyze and evaluate new product opportunities
    • Present new proposals to expand our product features
  • Work closely with senior leadership providing status, action plan and recommendations

 

Who you are:

  • 4-year degree in analytics, computer science, engineering, finance, mathematics, or similar quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product or project management
  • 3+ years of Business Intelligence and/or database/analysis experience
  • Documentation skills (stakeholder analysis, project plans, status reporting)
  • Experience working with an Agile Development Team
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with business strategy, business modeling, technology strategy, and roadmap planning and scenario analysis
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams: Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once

 

Must have technical skills:

  • Must be knowledgeable in Qlik, Tableau, Power BI and/or Planning Analytics/TM1
  • Prefer some basic coding skills (SQL, scripting, etc)

Maintenance Software Engineer

The Maintenance Software Engineer provides a second level of technical escalation for client issues and can therefore have an immediate impact on customer satisfaction by resolving complex issues quickly and accurately. This is a programming position dedicated to providing post-release software troubleshooting and defect remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance coding and refactoring of problematic areas on existing Motio applications to improve accuracy, usability, and performance.
  • Efficiently and accurately diagnose and resolve a broad array of application bugs as they are escalated from the Support Team by troubleshooting end-user application issues, developing code fixes, and documenting solutions and workarounds for future use.
  • Professionally communicate with clients via email, phone, and screen share to gather technical information helpful to diagnose challenging product issues.
  • Provide feedback to Product Engineering regarding common programming errors that are identified.
  • Effectively communicate with other parts of the organization when issue details are unclear, work quickly to find the underlying cause of an issue, and then formulate and implement a solution.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering preferred or equivalent technology experience.
  • Minimum of five years of development-related experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices and methodologies for agile development lifecycles

Performance Test Engineer

The performance test engineer is responsible for and implementing quality assurance procedures for performance testing of Motio products. Working within the agile process established by the development team, the performance test engineer will develop performance test scripts using industry standard tools, execute, record metrics and generate reports. The performance test engineer will communicate with business stakeholders on a regular basis, the progress and test reports.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to create performance test requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Design and implement re-usable performance test scripts following best practices using industry standard tools
  • Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability
  • Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for any bug fixes.
  • Gather metrics and generate test reports for management review
  • Frequently communicate test progress, test results to the management
  • Collaborate with Business/ Application teams to improve system performance

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

This job is for you if you are passionate about guiding the design and implementation of a brand new user experience with your expertise that will make customers’ work lives easier with each release.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively work on an agile development team and with engineering management to design, code, integrate, test, and support Angular-based web interfaces for enterprise applications using best practices such as automated testing and DevOps.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries that consume and operate on a JSON-based API.
  • Provide educated input on UI/UX impacts of a changing architecture and new user experience.
  • Use expertise to mentor other team members in the relevant technologies to maximize team efficiency.

  • 2+ years experience with version control and issue management systems like GitLab, GitHub, etc.
