The challenge

As Crider Foods moved from gut instinct and Excel to Qlik Sense, adoption exploded, and so did the chaos. With nearly 1,000 employees requesting new and changed reports, analytics became the wild west: duplicate apps, conflicting numbers, and no single source of truth. The small development team had no version control or revision tracking, and spent its time backtracking and working over one another.

The solution

At Qlik's annual conference, BI lead Joshua Poole discovered Motio for Qlik, and downloaded the trial before he left. It gave the team version control, rollback, side-by-side comparison of dashboards and scripts, publishing straight from the app, one-click thumbnails, and published/unpublished tags.

Gitoqlok is like having a perfect memory for our Qlik applications. It's changed the game for us.

The results
BI team productivity up 30%, handling queries definitively instead of from memory
Non-value-added task time cut nearly in half
Effortless rollback to a previous version when an error slips in
A consistent, well-managed Qlik ecosystem with one source of truth

I didn't know enough to look for a solution, but as soon as I saw it, I knew we had to have it. I downloaded the trial before leaving the conference.
