The challenge

VTCT's qualifications are regulated by government bodies, so every change to a Qlik Sense app carries real consequence. BI Architect Sean Bruton was designing, building, and analyzing apps single-handed, and tracking changes by hand, saving local copies named "V1, V2, V3." Recovering a good version meant hunting through those copies and manually re-entering work into the live environment, which could take hours or days, with the constant risk of losing recent changes.

The solution

In 2018 Sean adopted Motio for Qlik. Running as a separate app inside the Qlik environment, it gave him complete visibility of every addition, deletion, and change, and a dependable safety net to revert previous or deleted content instantly.

My job is to make data talk and empower my coworkers through those data insights. Because of Soterre, I am no longer restrained by administrative tasks and creating unscheduled backups.
